Die bekannte Verteilung der Kennzahl \(\chi^2\) wird in übersichtlicher Weise neu hergeleitet. Die beim Beweise notwendigen Abschätzungen lassen sich klar überschauen. Damit wird ersichtlich, unter welchen Voraussetzungen das Endergebnis als annehmbare Näherung anzusehen ist. Dieser Umstand ist wichtig, da der approximative Charakter der \(\chi^2\)-Verteilung manchmal vergessen wird.
