\textit{H. J. van Leeuwen} (Vraagstukken uit de electronentheorie van het magnetisme, Leiden 1919; F. d. M. 47, 706 (JFM 47.0706.*)) hat gezeigt, daß nach der klassischen Gibbsschen Statistik das magnetische Moment eines beliebigen Körpers in einem äußeren stabilen magnetischen Feld genau gleich 0 ist. Verf. weist nach, daß dieser Satz auch dann gilt, wenn man die übliche Voraussetzung des Fehlens einer magnetischen Wechselwirkung der Ladungen fallen läßt.
