Es handelt sich um einen Satz über die Lösungszahl von \(n= (p - 1) (q - 1)\) in Primzahlen \(p\), \(q\) für gegebenes ganzrationales \(n\). \textit{Erdös} hatte in seinem Beweis (Quart. J. Math. (Oxford Ser.) 7 (1936), 227-229; JFM 62.0159.*) ein Resultat von \textit{Titchmarsh} falsch zitiert. Der Satz bleibt trotzdem richtig, wie Verf. jetzt zeigt.
