Von der Tatsache ausgehend, daß die Konvergenz oder die \textit{Cesàro}sche Limitierbarkeit von gewissen Teilfolgen einer gegebenen Folge \((s_n)\) oft leichter zu untersuchen ist als die \textit{Cesàro}sche Limitierbarkeit von \((s_n)\) selbst, ist Verf. zu folgendem Satz gelangt: Bei festem \(\alpha > 0\) strebe \[ \frac 1{ \binom {n+\alpha}n}\sum_{\nu=0}^n \binom{n+\alpha-\nu-1}{n-\nu} s_{\lambda\nu+p} \to S_p \quad \text{für} \quad p=0,1, \ldots,\lambda-1; \] dann strebt \[ \frac 1{ \binom {n+\alpha}n}\sum_{\nu=0}^n \binom{n+\alpha-\nu-1}{n-\nu} s_\nu \to \frac{ S_0+ S_1+ \cdots + S_\lambda-1}\lambda. \] Für Reihen \(\sum\limits_{n=0}^\infty a_n\) wird hieraus unmittelbar gefolgert: Aus der \((C,\alpha)\)-Summierbarkeit \((\alpha > - 1)\) von \(\sum\limits_{n=0}^\infty a_{\lambda n+p}\) für \(p= 0\), 1, \dots, \(\lambda - 1\) zu den entsprechenden Werten \(S_p\) folgt die \((C,\alpha)\)-Summierbarkeit von \(\sum a_n\) selbst zum Werte \[ S_0 + S_1 + \cdots + S_{\lambda-1}. \]
