The authors analyze the transport properties of a graphene layer in the presence of inhomogeneous spin-orbit interactions. It is shown that the thermoelectric conductance is bounded by a given energy sub-band for large spin-orbit strengths. The analysis is firstly performed using a scattering approach applied to the Hamiltonian of the system, and then the authors consider the behavior of the conductance.
