Die Regressionslinie, d. h. der Ort der Mittelwerte \(y_x\) im Streifen \(x\), \(x + dx\), in einer logarithmisch-normalen Verteilung läßt sich auf Grund einer allgemeinen Formel \textit{Wicksel}s (Meddel. Lunds astron. Observ. (2) 69) durch die \textit{Hermite}schen Polynome darstellen. Die Koeffizienten können aus den Momenten berechnet werden.
