Verf. stellt am Kreuzungstyp Doppelt-heterozygot \(\times\) Doppelt-rezessiv fest, ob die \textit{Bernstein}sche Methode (vgl. das vorhergehende Referat) zur Bestimmung der Crossingover-Wahrscheinlichkeit ``effizient'' ist, d. h., ob das zur Methode gehörende Gütemaß den größten Wert ergibt. Er berechnet das absolute Gütemaß -- das ist das größte, das eine Methode zur Bestimmung der Crossingover-Wahrscheinlichkeit haben kann -- und findet, daß die \textit{Bernstein}sche Methode nur bei ganz schwacher und bei fast vollständiger Koppelung ``effizient'' ist, daß aber bei mittlerer Koppelung der maximale Wert des Gütemaßes nicht erreicht wird. Die größte Abweichung beträgt z. B. bei Familien mit vier Kindern etwa \(4\%\) und bei Familien mit neun Kindern etwa \(8\%\). Die Untersuchung wird unter der Annahme durchgeführt, daß die beiden Typen der Doppelt-Heterozygoten mit gleicher Häufigkeit vorkommen.
