Kurzer Bericht über das Werk ``Arithmétique'' von \textit{Jean Trenchant} das erstmals im Jahre 1558 erschienen ist und bis zum Jahre 1675 18 Auflagen erlebte. Über seinen Autor ist nur sehr wenig bekannt. Das Titelblatt der Originalausgabe ist in Faksimile wiedergegeben.
