The author studies mixed difference/\(q\)-difference equations of the form \(x(t+1) = a(t) x(t) + b(t) x(qt) + f(t)\) (real variable \(t\), real parameter \(q\)) or its homogeneous counterpart. She gives sufficient conditions for the existence of continuous solutions as well as a description of such solutions.
