Es wird die ``relative Stabilität'' des arithmetischen Mittels und des Medians von Stichproben aus Kollektiven, deren Verteilungsfunktion sich aus zwei bzw. drei Normalverteilungen zusammensetzen lassen, untersucht. Das Maß der Stabilität ist einfach die Streuung des Mittelwerts; je nachdem welche Streuung der beiden Mittel kleiner ist, wird der Median oder das arithmetische Mittel ``relativ'' stabiler genannt (der Stabilitätsbegriff hat hier also nichts mit dem von \textit{Lexis} zu tun). Je nach den zur Verwendung gelangenden Approximationen für die Streuung des Medians (große oder kleine Stichprobe) sind verschiedene Methoden zu verwenden. - Zum Schlusse wird ein Beispiel einer wirtschaftlichen Zeitreihe gebracht.
