This paper is concerned about the Shockley-Ramo theorem, which presents a relationship between the charge motion in vacuum and the induced current on the electrode. The authors develop a generalized Shockley-Ramo theorem to be used for predicting the motion of macro charged particles in electrolytes. This generalized theorem provides researchers a direct way to compute the motion of one macro-particle from the induced current without integrating all the ionic flux. Numerical results are provided to justify the effectiveness of the generalized Shockley-Ramo theorem.
