This research work is devoted to the optimality conditions and the perturbation analysis of some matrix conic optimizations induced by spectral norms. Using an appropriate smoothing metric projector, the authors construct the nonsingularity of Clarke's generalized Jacobian used in several globally convergent smoothing Newton methods.
