Time is a main topic in Physics. The search for the basic laws of our Universe -- time is always involved -- is forcing physicists to reexamine and discuss the very basic assumptions and metaphysical hypotheses. The book investigates the base and the framework of physical theories and physical thinking. The goal of this attempt is a rational reconstruction of the leading theories of Modern Physics: Special and General Relativity and Quantum Mechanics. In the preface we read: ``The results and implications ... are partly new and they are in general not in accordance with the well known interpretation of Modern Physics.'' This does not matter, since we are hopefully looking for some new ideas. One thing is missing in the book. The discussion of Cosmology, the Hubble parameter and the paradigma of Dark Energy. Surprising is also the fact that Entropy is omitted in all chapters. Entropy and the Time Arrow are basic in understanding physical laws.
