Mappings of geometric structures (Q2640154)

The author considers automorphisms and local automorphisms of G- structures (in Chern's sense) of finite and infinite type. He gives an algebraic description of the G-structures which are transitive with respect to such automorphisms as well as a test for homogeneity. Some applications to the theory of generalized symmetric spaces are pointed out. Then a new invariant of a class of conjugate transitive G- structures, strongly related to that of D. Bernard, is introduced. Using it a test for the symmetry of a G-structure is given.
