Beginning with the symmetric group of degree 8 acting on two sets of cardinality 28, the author defines and studies a certain regular graph (\(\Omega\),\(\Gamma\)) on 56 points, whose automorphism group is the Weyl group of type \(E_ 7\), isomorphic to \({\mathbb{Z}}_ 2\times Sp(6,2)\) acting imprimitively with blocks of cardinality 2.
