Aspects of characteristic-free representation theory of \(GL_ n\), and some applications to intertwining numbers (Q2640703)

This paper aims at giving characteristic free resolutions for Schur and Weyl modules associated to semisimple algebraic groups. To achieve this, the notion of the Schur complex of a map associated to a shape matrix is introduced. Using the Schur complex, resolutions for Schur and Weyl modules are given using homological methods. This paper makes a nice contribution to the representation theory of algebraic groups.
