For nonequilibrium driven systems, it has been established in previous work by the author [see e.g. ibid. 27, No.6, 725-730 (1980; Zbl 0664.34043)] that a form of stability of dissipative organizations occurs when the dissipative structure is contained within the center manifold. Within a cell model for the study of collective modes, the present note discusses the growth of ordered domains (comprised of cells lying in the center manifold), characterized by the time dependence of their linear dimension L(t). A sketch of the model is explained and it is argued that computer simulations provide ``experimental evidence'' for the conjecture that \(L(t)\cong t^{1/2}\).
