Approximation in Smirnov spaces: direct and inverse theorems (Q2641893)

The author studies the Dirichlet series in Smirnov spaces over convex polygons. Specifically, direct and inverse approximations theorems are given for the series and the degree of convergence and the regularity of the functions with arbitrary moduli are estimated. The paper generalizes previous results which proved direct and inverse approximations theorems for Dirichlet series in Smirnov spaces for first modulus. An interesting example shows that the new result yields better estimates on the rate of approximation than the previous ones.
