Proof for \(k\geq 4\) of a result similar to that stated in [C. R. (Dokl.) Acad. Sci. URSS, n. Ser. 17, 167--168 (1937; Zbl 0017.38903)]. In particular, every large odd integer is a sum of \(2k+2m+7\) \(k\)th powers of primes.
