This article deals with the nonlinear magnetohydrodynamics (MHD) system in \(\mathbb R^3\), in a finite time interval \([0,T)\). The author gives a regularity criterion that involves the third component of two unknown functions of the system: the velocity and the vorticity. If this criterion is fulfilled, then it is proved that a weak solution to the considered MHD system is smooth in \((0,T)\).
