    The authors study the polynomial's coefficients of the BFK-gluing formula [\textit{D. Burghelea} et al., J. Funct. Anal. 107, 34--65 (1992; Zbl 0759.58043)] and express these elements in terms of the scalar and principal curvatures of the cutting hypersurface. The method presented in this article applies to any dimension, however, to simplify the calculations, they present the formula for the case that the global manifold has dimension three.
