The weak core inverse (Q2662891)

Employing the core EP decomposition, the authors introduce a new generalized inverse of a complex square matrix, called weak core inverse. This new inverse generalizes the concept of the core inverse defined by \textit{O. M. Baksalary} and \textit{G. Trenkler} [Linear Multilinear Algebra 58, No. 5--6, 681--697 (2010; Zbl 1202.15009)]. They also study some characterizations and properties of this generalized inverse. Furthermore, they use the notion of the generalized inverse to introduce and investigate a new class of matrices which extends the class of weak group inverse matrices. Finally, they explore the weak core binary relation and show that this binary relation is not a matrix partial order.
