The authors present a characterization of linear maps on \(M_{n,m}\) that preserve gt-majorization. Let us recall that, given matrices \(X,Y \in M_{n,m}\), \(X\) is said to be gt-majorized by \(Y\) if there exist a tridiagonal \(g\)-doubly stochastic matrix \(A\in M_n\) such that \(X=AY\).
