The authors consider a modification of the Navier-Stokes equations with a time-fractional derivative and the condition \(\nabla\cdot(gu)=0\) for some function \(g\) replacing the usual incompressibility condition. Besides existence and uniqueness of weak solutions, an optimal control problem is discussed.
