The authors recall some fundamental concepts from the theory of Pfaffian systems \(\Omega\), namely the derived systems \(\Omega_k\), the flag Pfaffian system \(\Omega\supset \Omega_1 \supset\Omega_2 \supset\dots\), the characteristic system, and the well-known Frobenius criterion.
