Deep inelastic scattering, DIS 2000. Proceedings of the 8th international workshop, Liverpool, Great Britain, April 25--30, 2000 (Q2701771)

The content of these proceedings mainly concern experimental work in high energy physics done at the HERA collider, allowing for cms-energies of about 318 GeV. The eight planary lectures review the present state of experimental results and knowledge about hadronic structure functions, photon structure, jets and hadron collision, spin structure of the nucleon, tests of QCD, physics at the highest accessible negative squared four-momentum transfer \(Q^2\) or \(P^2_T\). Further contributions are organized in 4 working groups about structure functions, tests of QCD, physics near highest \(Q^2\) and \(P^2_T\), high energy scattering and diffractions. These contributions, 3 to 4 pages each, are summarized in another 5 plenary lectures at the end together with two lectures about the development and importance of the HERA collider and an outlook on future research at THERA the successor of HERA.
