On conditioning operators (English)

The authors work first with conditional events \((\alpha \parallel \beta)= [\alpha\wedge \beta,\beta\to\alpha]\) in any MV-algebra and they define conditioning operators \((\alpha\mid\beta)\) as well as mean-value function axiomatically in any Girard algebra. The relationship between the two notions is discovered, the canonical extension of any Girard algebra is constructed and also the existence of conditioning operators on the extension is proved.NEWLINENEWLINEFor the entire collection see [Zbl 0942.00008].
