The author studies the existence of solutions in spaces of (small) Gevrey functions for overdetermined systems of linear partial differential equations with constant coefficients. She generalizes an evolution condition given earlier by Hörmander and discusses when it is necessary and/or sufficient. The theory is only sketched; proofs can be found in a preprint of the author.
