On the structure of conformal algebras. (English)

This is a survey article on the structure of conformal algebras. The theory of conformal algebras was initiated by \textit{V. Kac} [University Lecture Series 10, AMS, Providence (1996; Zbl 0861.17017)] and has been studied extensively in recent years. In this article, many examples of conformal algebras and known results concerning the classification of various kinds of conformal algebras are presented. The author emphasizes the importance of the embedding of Lie conformal algebras into associative conformal algebras and the classification of simple Lie or associative conformal algebras of Gelfand-Kirillov dimension 1.NEWLINENEWLINEFor the entire collection see [Zbl 0953.00031].
