Let \(S_k(\alpha)= \displaystyle{\sum_{\substack{ n\geq N\\ n\equiv f\pmod d}}} \Lambda(n) e(n^k \alpha)\), where \(1\leq f< d\), \((f,d)=1\). In the present paper, the author obtains a nontrivial upper bound for \(S_2(\alpha)\).
