A method, based on an extended \(H_\infty\) control, to solve the non-standard \(H_\infty\) problem for descriptor linear systems is proposed. Necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of a comprehensively stabilizing controller are established. A family of extended \(H_\infty\) controllers based on quasi-admissible solutions to two generalized Riccati equations is presented.
