Selections of lower semicontinuous mappings into Hilbert spaces (English)
0 references
It is proved that a lower semicontinuous, closed-and-convex valued mapping \( \Phi: X \rightarrow 2^{Y} \), \( X \) being a normal countably paracompact space containing no uncountable discrete subsets, \(Y\) being a Hilbert space, has a single-valued continuous selection. An example is given as well.
