Based on a theorem of structured singular value, the paper deals with the robust analysis and synthesis problem of linear singular systems. By the decomposition of the slow/fast subsystems of linear singular systems, the authors present a necessary and sufficient condition for the \(\mu\)-analysis of such systems, and they realize the \(\mu\)-synthesis from the obtained \(\mu\)-analysis. The result of a simulation example shows the efficiency of the method for the \(\mu\)-analysis and \(\mu\)-synthesis of linear singular systems.
