A Jeffcott-type oscillator model under with rigid and fixed boundary is considered. By using the method of discontinuity bypass mapping and estimating the Poincaré map, it is shown that the model exhibits the typical grazing bifurcation with certain parameter values, which was observed in the original Jeffcott model.
