A pole assignment problem for a first-order generalized distributed parameter system coupled with a generalized lumped parameter one is formulated and solved. For the given system a feedback control law is found such that the closed-loop system possesses the prescribed poles. The solution to the problem is given by the generalized inverse of an operator.
