Numerical methods for the Landau--Lifshitz equation (English)
0 references
The Landau-Lifshitz equation which describes the evolution of magnetization in continuum ferromagnets plays an important role in understanding of nonequilibrium magnetism. The authors discuss numerical schemes for various forms of the Landau-Lifshitz equation. A simple implicit projection scheme is proposed to solve the equation which is unconditionaly stable. Numerical examples are given to demonstrate that the performance of the projection scheme is better than most of the other numerical schemes.
