Approximate projection methods. I: Inviscid analysis (English)
0 references
The authors construct approximate projection methods for modeling low Mach number flows in order to avoid many of numerical complications associated with exact projection methods. The paper provides an analytical basis for understanding the behavior of approximation projection methods, and describes some of the design procedures that accompany their use. The presentation focusses on inviscid, constant density flows, with numerical examples in two dimensions.
