Preconditioning highly indefinite and nonsymmetric matrices (English)
0 references
The authors are concerned with a preprocessing step for preconditioned iterative schemes applied to highly indefinite, nonsymmetric linear systems. The goal is to achieve stable and cost effective preconditioners by appropriate permutation and scaling algorithms including the use of maximum product transversals. Extensive numerical results for a wide variety of test cases indicate improved reliability and performance of the approach.
