The authors follow the terminology given by A. H. Clifford and G. B. Preston for algebraic semigroups. An ordered semigroup with 0 is called 0-simple if \(S^{2}=\{0\} \) and if the sets \(\{0\} \) and \(S\) are the only ideals of \(S\). In this paper the authors give a similar characterization of \(0\)-simple ordered semigroups and some equivalent characterizations arising as corollaries.
