On the functional equation of the bisectrix transform (English)

The functional equation characterizing mappings \(f\) which transform some points in the bisectrix segment generated by any couple \(x,y\) in a normed space into the corresponding points of the bisectrix segment generated by \(f(x)\) and \(f(y)\) in the target normed space is solved. In the particular case when both the domain and the codomain of the solution \(f\) are inner product spaces, it is obtained that \(f\) is a linear similitude.
