An \((n+p)\)-dimensional connected semi-Riemannian manifold of index \(p\) and positive constant scalar curvature is said to be a de Sitter space of index \(p\). The paper contains the studies of the rigidity problem for space-like submanifolds with constant scalar curvature in a de Sitter space. The author extends \textit{S.-Y. Cheng} and \textit{S.-T. Yau}'s technique [Math. Ann. 225, 195-204 (1977; Zbl 0349.53041)] to higher codimensions.
