Some inequalities for triangles: Old and new results (English)
0 references
The author surveys inequalities for triangles (yielding the equilateral one as extremal case) from a hierarchical point of view, adding also some new results. For each type considered he gives the main inequality and immediately the respective references such that in every case further reading is necessary. The hierarchy follows the type of quantities that the inequalities refer to (e.g., the perimeter, inradius, sum of sines of the angles, squared area, and more complicated expressions). Also the notations are not defined in that paper, but are chosen as it is common in the theory of geometric inequalities (i.e., in almost each case one can guess what quantities the author means). So this paper can be considered as an addendum to the known books on this subject, such as the monograph ``Recent Advances in Geometric Inequalities'', Kluwer Acad. Publ., Dordrecht et al. (1989; Zbl 0679.51004) by \textit{D. S. Mitrinović}, \textit{J. E. Pećarić} and \textit{V. Volenec}.NEWLINENEWLINEFor the entire collection see [Zbl 0947.00027].
