Global controllability to a target set of a discrete-time system in Banach spaces (English)

Linear, discrete-time, nonstationary control systems defined in infinite-dimensional Banach spaces are discussed. It is generally assumed that the values of controls are restricted to lie in a given subset of an infinite-dimensional Banach space. Using methods taken from functional analysis necessary and sufficient conditions for global null-controllability and global controllability to arbitrary sets are formulated and proved.NEWLINENEWLINENEWLINESeveral special cases are also considered. The obtained results extend to the infinite-dimensional case several constrained controllability conditions known for finite-dimensional discrete-time control systems [\textit{R. P. van Til} and \textit{W. E. Schmitendorf}, Int. J. Control 43, 941-956 (1986; Zbl 0587.93012)]. The paper contains also several remarks and comments on the relationships between different kinds of controllability for linear discrete-time control systems.
