The articles of this volume will not be indexed individually.NEWLINENEWLINENEWLINEThis book is a continuation of two previous ones [Volume I: The Penrose transform and its applications (1990; Zbl 0693.53022), and Volume II: Integrable systems, conformal geometry and gravitation (1995; Zbl 0828.53070)], and follows the same format, i.e., a topical grouping of articles on twistor theory preceded by a useful overview of the topics. It consists of 89 articles, by 27 authors, with most of them having previously appeared in the ``Twistor Newsletter'' during the years 1979-1994. The four chapters of the book bear the titles: The nonlinear graviton and related constructions; Space of complex null geodesics; Hypersurface twistors and the Cauchy-Riemann equations; and, Towards a twistor description of general space-times. In addition there is a 26 page bibliography, together with the tables of contents of the previous two volumes. Like its predecessors, the present volume is a most welcome and indispensable source book on twistor theory.
