The authors use propagator matrix formulation to study dynamic fundamental solutions for a viscoelastic multilayered half-space. Using Green's function, integral representation of the solution is decomposed into a closed-form singular part and a numerically evaluated residual component. As an illustration, the multilayered model is used to approximate an elastic half-space with a linear velocity profile.
