Incomplete factorization-based preconditionings for solving the Helmholtz equation (English)
0 references
A new preconditioning technique based on incomplete factorization of matrices has been proposed to solve highly indefinite complex-symmetric linear systems. The real part of the matrix is first made positive defined by adding appropriate diagonal perturbations. A significant savings of the number of the generalized minimal residual steps has been obtained. Numerical experiments have shown the efficiency of the new preconditioning.
