On topological invariants of real analytic singularities (Q2709851)

Consider an analytic map \(f: ({\mathbb R}^n) \rightarrow ({\mathbb R}^m,0)\) and consider a Milnor fibre \(W_y:= f^{-1}(y) \cap B_r\), with \(r>0\) small and \(y\) a regular value. NEWLINENEWLINENEWLINEIn the paper the author gives methods for computing basic topological invariants of \(W_y\). Among the results are, in case \(n=m\) a formula for \(|W_y|\) in terms of the signature of a certain matrix. In case \(m<n\) and a given \(g:({\mathbb R}^n) \rightarrow ({\mathbb R},0)\) the author gives (under mild conditions on \(g\)) a formula for the difference of the Euler characteristic of \(W_y\) and the Euler characteristic of \(W_y\cap g^{-1}(0)\).
