A new formulation of the local reflection theory of an oblique shock wave at a rigid wall (English)
0 references
A complete solution to the equations local shock wave reflection theory has been obtained on an inclined wall in a region near the Mach stem confluence and the triple point of an irregular shock-wave configuration. The author describes correct lines of regular-irregular transitions for self-similar reflection problems in shock tubes. The solutions for arbitrary shock-front geometry, obtained in a vicinity of the triple point, are in agreement with experimental results.
