Internal waves behind the local disturbance due to its weak nonstationary motion in stratified fluid of finite depth (English)

Proposed is a method of constructing an asymptotic field of internal waves following the local disturbance moving in a weakly nonstationary regime at large Froude numbers. The method is based on the locally two-dimensional character of evolution of internal wave field following the uniformly movable local disturbance, as well as on the laws of geometrical optics for the expansion of wave rays in horizontally homogeneous media. Application of the method is demonstrated on the problem for the ovoid body moving in the nonstationary regime in a three-layered stratified medium.
