Classical mechanics of relativistic particle with colour (Q2711750)

A classical description of a relativistic pointlike particle with intrinsic degrees of freedom (such as isospin or colour) is proposed. It is based on a class of Lagrangians on the tangent bundle of a principal fibre bundle. The author shows that the dynamics splits into the external dynamics describing the ~interaction of a particle with a gauge field in terms of Wong equations, and the internal dynamics resulting in a spatial motion of the particle.
